Simonette Mapes-Crupi, a school teacher in East New York was found stabbed to death in her Staten Island home. She was found by her husband in a pool of her own blood. Jonathan Crupi called authorities and an investigation is under way. Several articles alluded to the possibility that she may have offended gang bangers with a statement on facebook, however at this point in time there is no concrete evidence as to what really happened. Following is the statement she posted on Facebook:
Crupi and I survived a shootout today…Thank God we are ok…To all the wanna be gangstas of Staten Island (who say they are from Brooklyn but really aren’t), be grateful you have what you have and stop trying to live a lifestyle you will never understand.
Reading through the forums and the threads you encounter the typical theories from people, “the husband did it”, “home invasion”, and of course the racists chime in with “the gang bangers did it”. In my opinion, until further evidence is available, none of us should be passing judgement or calling for arrests. What we should all be feeling is sympathy and compassion for the family of the beautiful young woman that needlessly has lost her life.Share:
